To identify the determinants of these processes and to quantify their effects and interactions we utilise advanced data analysis using leading statistical software packages (including STATA™ or R™). We work with CDISC standards.

Our specialty are efficacy studies in hierarchical micro- or macroeconomic systems aimed to quantify the effects of interventions or other systemic changes. Furthermore, we also offer state-of-the-art methodology for health economic evaluation studies - such as quantifying the economic impact of medical/health policy interventions or of introducing new health technologies.

High5Data provides expertise in quantitative methods for modern management consultancy, e.g. by measuring important concepts such as  'working atmosphere' or 'health-related productivity loss' and thus making these determinants accessible to management - a prerequisite for better understanding the mechanisms underlying microeconomic systems to target appropriate interventions or other system changes. The combination of these quantitative skills with expertise in occupational medicine allows system-analytical approaches to increase health-related productivity in companies.

Having worked as integral members of multidisciplinary teams of physicians, epidemiologists, basic researchers, statisticians, sociologists, psychologists we see beyond the horizon of a single discipline. Our multidisciplinary skills enable us to better understand the relationships in the human biological system and its interaction with the environment and to translate this into analytical approaches. This advanced understanding of the relationships is the prerequisite for an effective quantification of risk factors and their mechanisms of action in clinical or epidemiological studies, genetic association studies as well as the basis for the implementation of health economic projects.

Psychology

High5Data has many years of experience in modern data analytic approaches for psychological studies. We specialize in developing short, efficient, adaptive psychometric measurement tools. In most cases we can reduce existing survey questionnaires by up to 30% - and thus reduce the time required to complete questions – without significant loss of information. We are also experts in advanced statistical analysis of psychometric data by implementing complex statistical techniques (e.g. structural equation models, multi-level models or item response theory). Our psychometric models focus on quantifying important hidden (latent) psychological concepts (e.g. ‘pleasure and meaningfulness at work’, ‘interest and motivation’). We then incorporate these quantities in effectiveness analysis of complex systems of all kinds (biological systems, macro- or microeconomic systems).

Statistics

Expertise in mathematics and statistics is the analytical foundation of the multidisciplinary High5Data approach. Mathematical models are the toolbox for our data scientific solutions to quantify the determinants and mechanisms of action of your systems of interest.  Stochastic models based on concepts of applied statistics allow us to consider the data-generating mechanisms as non-deterministic, but randomly affected by unknown or unobserved variables.

The security of your data and the correct application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for personal data are a high priority. Our data processing and statistical modelling engines can handle very large datasets (big data), e.g. data from comprehensive macroeconomic units (census data) or data from genetic studies (whole genome scans). In addition, the High5Data visualization engine provides modern tools for dynamic presentation of your data analytic solutions, e.g. interactive web applications, dynamic tablet apps, C-level reports or real-time dashboards.

High5Data has vast experience in planning, conducting and data analysis of epidemiological studies to identify risk factors for diseases, to understand their mechanisms of action, their pathways and interactions. Our expertise also includes state-of-the art methodology for systematic reviews and meta-analyses to synthesise the findings of medical knowledge generated from previous studies. We also specialise in the interpretation of the findings of epidemiological research within the public health context of a particular application system (e.g. the impact of health determinants in specific target populations such as economies or microeconomic entities, or the quantification of health system interventions in macro-economic units).

An essential approach of modern occupational medicine is the maintenance of health in the workplace including prevention of diseases, with secondary objectives of maintaining and increasing productivity, especially with aging workforces. We see work as a complex system that, at best, supports worker health. We understand managing health in the workplace to be more than offering sports courses and health days. We have many years of expertise in assisting companies in the development of indicators and prediction models for health and work performance and models to estimate the effectiveness and benefits of measures and interventions to support worker health.
